The Price Comes Before the Truck

Towing has a reputation problem, and it is earned: quotes that grow at the hook, mystery fees on the receipt, drivers who will not name a number until the car is already on the bed. We run it the other way. The price is stated on the phone, before dispatch, and the receipt matches the quote.

The typical numbers are published right on this site: local tows $85 to $150, roadside calls $50 to $90, flatbeds $110 to $175, winch-outs and grade recoveries by the situation. If a job is unusual enough that the number needs adjusting, you hear that before the truck rolls, not after.

Reno weather is a different business than flatland towing. The valley sits at 4,500 feet, the grades climb from there, and a storm that dusts Midtown can be closing Mt. Rose Highway an hour later. Trucks carry chains all winter, winches stay rigged, and the drivers know Geiger Grade, the Verdi hills, and the Washoe Valley wind zones the way commuters know their own street.

Storm days are the busiest days, and dispatch runs straight through them. If a specific recovery is genuinely unsafe or a road is closed by the state, you get that answer honestly instead of a truck that never shows.

A Real ETA, Not a Sales ETA

Every towing company says 30 minutes. We give the ETA based on where trucks actually are, and on a storm night when the whole valley is calling at once, the honest answer might be longer. You can plan around a true number. You cannot plan around a happy one.

A big share of tow requests are really jump starts, tire changes, or fuel runs that cost half as much, and cold Reno mornings produce them in waves. Rose Highway, and Geiger Grade. Longer hauls to Truckee, Carson City, and the lake are quoted flat by distance. Outside that footprint? Call anyway - if we cannot get to you in a reasonable time, you will hear it straight and fast.

When You Call

Have your location (exit number, cross street, casino, or a dropped pin), the vehicle make and model, and a few words about what happened. On the grades, a mile marker or landmark helps the driver approach from the right side the first time. That is all the dispatcher needs to quote the job and start the clock, any hour, any day of the year.
